Four staff members have been hired to fill full-time positions made possible by a Title III grant, and searches continue to fill other positions.

The new staff are Jennifer L. Bubb as Laboratory Instructor in Developmental Writing and Study Skills, Cheryl I Hobneck and Linda H. Mudge as Laboratory Instructors in Mathematics, and Juletta L. Patrick as Counselor/Orientation Coordinator.

Bubb, who had been a part-time lab instructor at IVCC, has an associate degree from IVCC and a bachelor's degree from ISU. She served as Tutorial Program Director at DePue High School and as a classroom instructor at Cherry Grade School in Cherry, Ill.

Hobneck and Mudge had served as part-time assistants to instruction in the Math Learning Center at IVCC.

Hobneck has a B.S. in education/mathematics. She had been a math instructor at both Mid-County Jr.-Sr. High School in Varna, Ill. and at L-P High School.

Mudge earned an associate degree from IVCC and a B.S. in education from NIU. She has taught math at L-P High School.

Patrick has a B.S. and M.S. in education from NIU. She was an academic advisor/counselor and an assistant director of admissions at NIU. She also served as Director of the Transfer Center at Kishwaukee Community College.

SEARCH UNDERWAY

A search is underway for a Director of Development to replace Bonita Dahlbach who left Nov. 3, 2000. Human Resources Director Jerry Corcoran said some applications had been received.

Other full-time positions being advertised are Assistant Controller/Bursar, cashier, shipping and receiving clerk and secretary in Career Planning and Placement.

Corcoran said interviews for an Assessment/Placement and Tracking Specialist, another Title III position, would be scheduled within the next two weeks.
