Intramurals: Ping pong bounces into play
By John Baracani
With classes now resuming after mid semester break, so too, are intramural activities.
Ping pong is set to get underway March 13, with 16 players signed up to participate.
Basketball is also set to return, after having the best turnout of any intramural activity last semester.
According to intramurals coordinator Bob Koopmann, basketball and ping pong should both have a good turnout.
"There were 60 players for basketball (in the fall), so we should have similar numbers this time. You find out what people like by the turnout," he said. "Euchre and chess were low, but basketball was high. I think most people like basketball, and ping pong should be decent."
Other activities scheduled to be offered this spring include softball, badminton and whiffle ball.
Anyone interested in taking part in any of these activities can contact Koopmann at ex. 505 or in the baseball office.
