Criminal justice student Jennifer York dies
Jennifer J. (Heiser) York, a 34-year-old criminal justice student of LaSalle, died Feb. 2, 1999, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, from complications of pneumonia.
Criminal justice instructor Rebecca Donna said, "She was serious about her educational pursuits and was a well liked student by faculty and fellow students."
York served as an officer in the Criminal Justice Association last year and completed an internship over the summer.
Mrs. York was born in Ottawa to Joseph F. and Donna (Wolfe) Heiser. She graduated from Argyle High School in Argyle, Wis. in 1982. She married David P. York on June 15, 1984.
Survivors include a 14 year- old son, Jacob, at home; a 7-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, at home; her husband of Mt. Horeb, Wis.; her parents of Argyle, Wis.; her maternal grandmother Dorothy Wolfe of LaSalle; two brothers, Scott Heiser of Wisconsin Dells, Wis. And Barry Heiser of Argyle, Wis; and a sister, Wendy Jones of Madison, Wis.
Services were Feb. 6 in Monroe, Wis. and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe.
