When the fall semester begins, IVCC will kickoff its 75th Anniversary Celebration.

The year-long series of events will begin with a birthday party on Sept. 15 and will culminate with an Illinois Valley Woodland Expo July 21 and 22, 2000.

The Expo will include forestry and wildlife seminars, chainsaw carving, woodcarving, authentic sawmills, and children's programs.

Mary Lou Meader, a co-chair of the Expo, said it is a statewide exposition to promote natural resource conservation. The events are being co-sponsored by IVCC and the City of Oglesby Tourism.

At this time, Expo organizers are recruiting volunteers. Further information is available from Meader at ext. 490 or from Barb Mincy at 550.
