The athletic department will offer two new sports through the intramural program. Introduced as winter sports will be arena football and snow softball.
Sports beginning in September include flag football on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and ping-pong on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Those interested in flag football should meet in the field near the circle drive at noon on Monday Sept. 18 or contact intramurals director Bob Koopman at extension 505. This date is a change from the posted schedule.
Those interested in ping-pong should meet in the gym on Tuesday September 19 or contact Koopman.
The first intramural season will end Friday Oct. 13 at the final tournament. It will coincide with the Homecoming festivities, similar to last year.
The next intramural season is scheduled to begin the first week of November with Basketball I, volleyball, and badminton.
The winter season begins in January with the newly-introduced sports snow softball and arena football. The spring season is scheduled to feature Basketball II and Ping-pong II.
