If you are interested in getting involved in something on campus, give the Intramural Program a glance. Intramurals are being scheduled "to involve students, faculty, and staff in pursuit of competitive athletic play," according to director Bob Koopmann.

Activities planned in the fall include flag football, chess, basketball league, and euchre. In the spring, activities that are tentatively set include bowling, ping pong, 3 on 3 basketball, snow softball tournament, closest to pin contest, and whiffle ball.

Koopmann, said this the activities were based on activities that were popular in the past and what other schools were doing.

Flag football and chess were tentatively scheduled to start on September 7 and 8. But as of press time, only two football teams and three people for chess were signed up. Koopmann said he had hoped to have eight for the chess tournament and at least four teams for flag football.

"There are plenty of opportunities," said Koopmann.

Flag football will be played on the former football practice field, and the chess games will be in the upper gym.

Koopmann believes that basketball, euchre, and whiffle ball will be popular.

Prizes, yet to be determined, will be awarded, Koopmann said.
