Five join faculty

Five instructors joined the IVCC staff at the beginning of the fall semester.

Nursing instructor Tina M. Nink replaces Alice Hunter who resigned at the end of the spring semester. Nink received her B.S.N., M.S.N. and Family Nurse Practitioner Post Master's Certificate from NIU.

Nink has served as an R. N. at IVCH in Peru, on the staff at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford and as a part-time instructor at IVCC.

Mathematics instructor Thomas D. Tunnel replaces Russ Green, who retired at the end of the spring semester. Tunnel received his associate degree from IVCC, his B.S. and M. S. from the U of I. He was a performance audit supervisor at the U of I in Springfield and a mathematics instructor at Robert Morris College and at Springfield College in Springfield, Ill. before coming to IVCC.

History instructor Steven W. Charry replaces Jim Hostetter, who retired at the end of the spring semester. Charry received his M.A. and Ph. D. in U.S. History at Washington State University in Pullman, Wash.

Charry has been a lecturer in history at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Wash., and a graduate teaching assistant at Washington State University.

Philosophy instructor Robert P. Abele replaces Stephen Rhoades who retired at the end of the spring semester. Abele received his B.A. in communication arts from the University of Dayton, his M.A. in Theology from Athenaeum of Ohio and his Ph.D. at Marquette University in Milwaukee.

Dr. Abele has been an assistant professor at Silver Lake College in Milwaukee, and on the adjunct faculty at the College of DuPage, Oakton College and Marquette University.

Assistant to instruction Laura A. Hodgson replaces Sherry Day in the nursing lab. Hodgson received her A.A.S. from IVCC. She has worked for the LaSalle County Health Department as a public health nurse and part-time at IVCC as an instructor.
