FOR THE RECORD COLUMN: Groove companions
TED MCLENDON
The scenario: A rather unfortunate turn of events has left you stranded on a remote island with nothing but the clothes on your back, your discman, and a five-year supply of Duracell batteries. Hey dont laugh, it could happen.
In the last moment before the events that brought you to the island culminated, you salvaged a second to gather five CDs. Which ones do you grab?
It may seem an easy decision at first, but think about it. Five years is a long time with nothing but you, the music, and perhaps a coconut or two for sustenance. What would you take along?
Heres what some IVCC students chose as their solitary groove-companions .
