On Nov. 19 a variety of events are scheduled on campus to celebrate Family Reading Night.

Open to the public free of charge, the evening will include activities for people of all ages, according to Marianne Dzik, one of the organizers.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a meeting in the Cultural Center that will include an opening story and an explanation of programs to follow.

Three sets of break out sessions begin at 6:30 p.m. For preschool children, stories and activities will be offered in the cafeteria. For elementary school children, a puppet show and stories will be offered in the Cultural Center.

Junior high, high school, college students and visiting adults can choose to attend a program offered by local author Steve Stout in C-316, a creative writing workshop in the Fireplace Lounge, a publishing workshop in LRC-B, or book discussions in F-114 and F-113.

Refreshments will be served in the cafeteria at 7:30.

A book sale is scheduled throughout the evening. Dzik said over 150 titles will be available at 70 percent off of original prices.
