Chats and game playing will not be allowed in the LRC-D computer lab from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The ban, which went into effect on Oct. 2, is the result of a shortage of computers during peak lab times, said assistant to instruction Laura Nelson.
Student lab assistants, the lab supervisor and Nelson are located in the LRC-D lab to help students with their homework. The lab opened at the beginning of the fall semester.
Nelson said chatting and game playing are still being allowed in the open labs in building A.
