Dr. David Keusters first production as director, Noel Cowards "Blithe Spirit," will be presented from October 22 to October 25.
The play begins at noon and at 8 p.m.Oct. 22 and 23. The closing presentation will be at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 25. Tickets are available in the bookstore or from any member of CAST or Club for Acting Students in Theater.
Admission is free for IVCC students with their ID, $3 for senior citizens and other students and $5 for adults.
Cast members are Melanie McCoy as Edith, Amy Gregory as Ruth, Brian Harbeck as Charles, Dr. Bradman will be played by Jeff Twardowski and his wife will be played by Judy McQuilkin. Stephanie Benson will be playing Madam Arcati and Elvira will be played by Megan Baznik.
The set has been designed by former theatre director Giacomo Leone, division chair of humanities and fine arts. Assistant director is Aaron Campbell, and props and sound are being handled by Chris Leone. Other technical crewmembers are still in the process of being assigned.
"Practices have been on schedule," Keuster said. "Were not emphasizing the dialect, but emphasizing the preciseness of the language," said Keuster of the British play.
Keuster added that it is a very enjoyable and funny piece and that Coward is well known for creative works.
"The cast is very cohesive and supportive of one another," said Keuster.
Oct. 8, 1998 the Apache
