Letter to editor: What happened to missing tree?
Dear Editor,
Whatever happened to the little pine tree donated by Mr. and Mrs. Lanny Slevin upon the death of their baby Lanny? It was supposed to stay on the south slope of the campus, right in the middle of the hill. I noticed today that it is missing and some new greenery was planted there.
Isnt there a record of these things here or are we too proud to care anymore? It hurts to know the good intentions of the family were not considered, and how many other families we hurt that have donated?

Dear Name Withheld,

Dear Editor,
The tree that you are referring to was moved at the time that we found out we were going to have to do an exploratory dig in that area. It is located on the east campus temporarily while we rebuild the landscape in this area.
We have every intention of returning it to the hill as we complete this.
Please watch closely as I think everyone will like the progress that is made in order to keep the grounds looking good.
Please let your reader know that research was done on the tree and it has been well taken care of.
