Wayne Temple, Superintendent of CF Industries of Peru, presented a check for $1,000 to the Division of Natural Science and Mathematics on Oct. 14.
Temple, a 1981 IVCC graduate, said the fertilizer company makes donations to educational institutions involved in agricultural and environmental projects.
Ron Groleau, chair of the division, said the donation would be used to purchase equipment and supplies for the Rivers Project. The local project has focused on testing the Little Vermilion.
The state-wide project teaches students river water monitoring techniques using a variety of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, Groleau said.
