Robotics

Middle school students build and program robots, utilizing Lego Robots and Pico Crickets..

Middle school girls learn to build and program robots, working in teams, in the IVCC electronics lab.

Following instructions in the robotics software, the girls select the correct parts to assemble the robot.

Jim Gibson, Program Coordinator of Electronics, demonstrates the robotics software.

Robotics activities, and other half-day and full-day events held on the IVCC campus typically involve the students in additional hands-on exercises in other science, technology, engineering or math areas.  At right, middle school girls look at their own cheek cells in the IVCC biology lab.
