Once students finish with their associate’s degree at IVCC,
a new program will make it easier to complete their bachelor’s degree.
A Lincoln College-Normal representative will visit students
at Illinois Valley Community College from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23
in Room C 325.
The representative will provide information regarding Adult
Learning’s Accelerated Bridge to Education (ABE) Program that offers bachelors
in business, liberal arts, health services administration and criminal justice.
All IVCC alumni with A.A. or A.S. degrees and certain A.A.S.
degrees who have met all Lincoln College Normal general education requirements
are eligible to register for the program that evening.
To qualify, students must be at least 23 years old and have a
minimum of three years of full-time employment following high school.
Students can earn up to 27 credits a year by taking
four-hour, one-night-a-week courses over five weeks; much of the coursework is
completed online.
