Students exhibit work in Ottawa

    Illinois Valley Community College graphic design students exhibited their work in a local art show and fundraiser, “The Art of Dessert” on Feb. 12 at Jeremiah Joe Coffee House in Ottawa.
    Students exhibited their work from a project called, “Letters of Love, Lust and Loss.” IVCC Photoshop and Advanced Visual     Communications students worked with writings from students involved in IVCC’s Dead Poets Society. The graphic design students were asked to choose a letter to illustrate using only typography and all writings and posters will be on display at the fundraiser.
    This event was hosted by The Community House of Arts in Ottawa and North Central Artworks. Attendees tasted food from local culinary artists competing for “The Art of Dessert Award.” The evening included a silent auction, homemade desserts to sample and entertainment from local community groups.
