Everyone has pet peeves, annoyances

On Holiday

It seems to me that on a daily basis, people love to get on my nerves. It’s not as if they really know what they’re doing to kill me inside, but it still gets to me. I have these major annoyances, and I really, really need to get them off my chest.
So, here’s a list of my top five pet peeves and I’m sure some of you out there reading this understand exactly where I’m coming from.
Number 1: when people decide to send me a one-word text message. I mean, come on people, try and waste my time just a little bit more. The only reason why I put up with such an act of stupidity is that I’m blessed with the thought of having unlimited texting. Otherwise, I’d be collecting 10 cents from every person dumb enough to send me a one-word message. Just put all of your response in one message or, better yet, don’t text me at all.
Number 2: when a customer at Farm and Fleet, which is where I work, comes up to my register and asks me if I’m open for business. Um, hello? Do you not see the the light at my register on and me standing there, patiently waiting for you to come up? Think before you ask questions, seriously!
Number 3: people who do not use turn signals when obviously turning. I know this has to get on other people’s nerves as well because it happens all the time, literally. I hate having to slam on my breaks for someone else to just turn when they could just as easily turn their signal on. How many accidents do you suppose they’ve caused in their lifetime, eh?
Number 4: people who talk on those stupid Bluetooth things in public. There’s nothing I hate more than thinking that someone is talking to me when they’re actually on their little hidden earpiece having a weird conversation with the person on the other end. It’s bad enough having someone come up to my register while I’m working and they’re talking on their precious little headphones, but to have them come up looking as if their talking to themselves or me is just plain weird. Get over yourself, please! Think before you act.
Well, there actually is one thing I hate more than number 4, which is number 5: when people walk out of a stall in the restroom then just leave, without washing their hands. I mean, can you say germs? That has to be one of the most disgusting and teeth grinding things I’ve ever seen. It kills me to know germs are being spread even more because one person doesn’t feel like washing their hands. Ew.
So, there are my top five pet peeves.
Do I have more? Of course! Just to name a few: infomercials, getting gum stuck on my shoe because someone doesn’t feel like throwing it away, poor grammar, broken spines on library books, tangled phone cards and when people sneeze and cough without covering their mouths.
So what are your biggest pet peeves? What annoying habits really, really make your skin crawl?
Because I’m sure we have a lot more in common than you may think.
