MAKING YOUR BUSINESS GREEN
IVCC’s office of Continuing Education will offer "Practical & Effective Ways to Make Your Company Green" (CEX-5601-03) on Tuesday, Mar. 31 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Room C-316. Staff from the Sustainable Technology Center of the University of Illinois, a resource for Illinois businesses, will facilitate this class designed to showcase the concepts and benefits of environmental business practices. Participants will learn about the sources of information and business principles related to green business. In addition, case studies demonstrating aspects of environmental business affairs will be presented. Cost of this class is $10 to include a continental breakfast and all materials. GIRLS’ AGGRESSION
IVCC’s Psychology Club will sponsor a free presentation "Lost Innocence? Girls, Aggression, and Violence," at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 2 in the Fireplace Lounge, Room B-216. Guest lecturer, Dr. James M. Frabutt, a faculty member in the Alliance for Catholic Education Leadership Program at Notre Dame, will examine issues of girl’s aggression and violence and explore what families and schools must do to be supportive of girls’ healthy development. In addition, he will analyze the recent increase in media accounts of girls’ aggression. Frabutt received his doctorate and master’s in human development and family studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his bachelor’s in psychology from Notre Dame. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships.

IVCC TUESDAY TOUR
IVCC will offer a Tuesday Tour for prospective students on March 31. These tours, offered on the last Tuesday of every month, provide an opportunity for prospective students and parents to take a one-hour tour of campus at either 8:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. Tours will cover the entire campus and highlight programs and services. Students making reservations may also sign up to visit a classroom of their choice following the one-hour tour. Reservations may be made by calling 815-224-0439.

FOOD, BEHAVIOR COURSES
IVCC’s office of Continuing Education will offer classes focusing on nutrition and well-being in April. "Food and Mood" (HLR-6302-304) will be offered on Wednesday, April 1 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in Room C-325. Also being taught will be "Children & Adolescents: The Food and Behavior Connection" (HLR-6303-304) will be offered on Wednesday, April 8 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in Room C-325.
