THE BIG GAME

I recently had the time of my life. I was part of one of biggest sports extravaganzas of the year; the Super Bowl.
If you ever have the chance, I will tell you to go to a Super Bowl in your lifetime. It is one of the best experiences you can ever have. The Super Bowl was held in Glendale, Ariz., which is a beautiful place to go around this time of the year since it is just hitting spring time there with the average weather in the high 60s.
When I was there, there were no clouds in sight for the entire four days. The first day my uncle, cousin and I arrived at the airport in Phoenix and we walked to baggage claim. As we walked Indianapolis’ Colts quarterback Peyton Manning was right in front of us. At that moment, I could already tell this was shaping up to be a memorable trip.
During the day we went to the tourist sites around Glendale, and the one place that stuck out was Sedona. In Sedona there were a lot of mountains and the town itself is way up in the mountains so you actually have to drive a good distance to get there. It is a very peaceful town and there is great scenery. If you are ever in Arizona, I would recommend you go and check it out.
Every night in Glendale was a big celebration. There were players always around the area and the night before the game we found where the people on ESPN’s NFL Live were taping in Glendale. I got on TV in the background, and it was fun seeing the guys that I watch every Sunday before the game in person.
Then came game day, but I was kind of sad because my team (The Green Bay Packers) were not participating in the Super Bowl. However, I still figured I would soak up all the entertainment of just being there. Being at the game was a very good experience and I ended of rooting for the New York Giants because I am a NFC fan. It turned out to one of the greatest games in Super Bowl history, and I can say I was there to witness it.
By the way, the Giants won.
