Wells heads Project Success

Loar Wells has settled into her new position as the new director of the Student Support Services, Project Success, for the past month.
Wells has previously been working academia in various administrative roles for 15 years. She worked at Northern Illinois University in Career Planning & Placement and Student Support Services. It is at Northern that Wells said she realized her purpose for serving students.
She has a master's degree in instructional technology and a bachelor's degree in corporate communications from NIU.
Project Success is a federally funded program. The programs was started to give students an equal opportunity in getting a higher education. These programs range for students in elementary schools to college level students.
Right now IVCC is serving 150 students.
