The new time slot for Artapoolza was deemed a success by organizers.
IVCC art instructors conducted the event during the day in the art room after the event had been conducted during night classes in the past.
Artapoolza drew a crowd of around 100 with activities such as pottery, henna tattoos, paper making and human portraits.
There was also free food and notecards with designs on sale by the drawing students.
The most populated area of activity besides the free food was pottery. All 10 wheels were being used which allowed people to rotate in a lot.
Student Nate Walter had this to say about Artapoolza, "Pottery was my favorite activity because I felt like Demi Moore in ‘Ghost.’"
Pottery teacher Karen Zeilman said that Artapoolza was a good recruiting tool, because it shows activities the teachers do and the process of the art.
