Congress on vacation from helping most citizens

Spring break once again has sprung past, and I had to cancel that trip to Daytona.
Why cancel my trip to the Sunshine State? First reason would be that I have three papers due my professors upon returning from spring break. The other reason is I am not going to take off my shoes or let a stranger probe around by BVD’s, thank you very much.
Anyone remember in 1968 (or read a history book) when an airplane was hijacked by some troubled individual (nutcase in the day) with a gun wanting to go to Cuba. The hijacker shot the co-pilot but thankfully, the pilot was able to over power this crazy want-to-be Cuban.
Later that year the same pilot testified before Congress, and told them if airplanes had solid, lockable, bulkhead doors this and future hijackings could not occur. Guess what happened; the airlines told Congress it would be too much to fortify the doors.
Hence, what is my point, just that greed kills. It killed people on 9/11 and is going to kill blameless American soldiers in Iraq, perhaps even as you read this.
Was it not Joseph Stalin, one of the most ruthless genocidal leaders in the world, that stated one death is a tragedy, but one million is just a statistic.
Congress needs to take action and stop these tragedies. Our American soldiers are needed back home by their families; certainly, not dispatched halfway around the globe protecting the interest of a few voracious, avaricious men (need I name names).
I am proud to be an American, and as Mark Twain said, “I support America all the time and Congress only when it deserves it.”
The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and their Patriot Act plus countless other bills are unenthusiastically undermining patriotism in this once highly respected global power.
The humorist Will Rogers jokes back in the 1920s that Congress should adjourn and go home because it has passed enough laws to last over 100 years, so maybe they took his advice.
I question what they have done for the average citizen lately. Will Congress get back to work in the year 2020?
One last hammer point: use caution wherever you travel on the World Wide Web, big brother might be checking where you surf.
In other words, the FBI might place you on a list and it is not the one that Santa checks.
Maybe I just might run for Congress (great benefits), but which party; however, be it elephants or jackasses, not much of a choice when viewed from the rear.
Last point, the average American is video taped by surveillance cameras appositely (or is it) 40 times a week and every time you enter the building to attend class at IVCCeeu, smile, you are on candid camera.
