Gay marriage discussed
Tuesday, March 1, POWER and the Young Republicans are
sponsoring a dialogue "Understanding the Other Side: Gay Marriage."
This will be at 6 p.m. in C-316. At 5:30 pizza and
drinks will be available for those attending.
Job Fair session planned
"Career Advice and a Slice," a panel presentation to help
students prepare for the upcoming Job Fair, will be offered from noon to 2 p.m.
Thursday, March 17 in Room C-316.
Free session and pizza will be offered to students and the
public in preparation for Job Fair 2005.
The March 17 panel is comprised of local employer who
represent the manufacturing, distribution, high technology, health care and
trucking industries.
The employers will discuss what they look for in a candidate,
on a resume, at an interview, and on the job.
The Job Fair will be from noon to 6 p.m. April 14 in the IVCC
gymnasium.
College visits scheduled
A number of colleges will visit IVCC during February and
March.
On Feb. 28, the University of St. Francis will be represented
in the lobby.
Other upcoming dates are March 4, Northern Illinois
University and Southern Illinois University , Carbondale; March 17, University
of St. Francis and Aurora University and March 30, St. Francis.
