The intramural basketball season ended with the Teachers coming out on top beating the defending champion Tri-County in a well played game.
Tri-County team member Chad Bornemann said, “The Teachers play a very relaxed and conservative game.
They don’t make mistakes, they don’t rush shots, and they do all the little things well. It’s a rarity that you be given a second chance against them, whether it’s an offensive rebound, a missed free throw, or a turnover.”
Intramural Advisor Bob Koopmann said, “This was an all around great tournament. All of the games were close, and everything about them was extremely competitive. The Teachers had a great tournament.”
According to Koopmann, Ping-Pong will be the next intramural sport to be offered. That will be getting under way in a couple of weeks.
“Ping Pong is a fun sport, and many people take interest in it.” After spring break, another intramural basketball season will be again the participants favorite,” said Bob Koopmann.
Volleyball will soon follow, if there are enough teams interested. Last year there was not a volleyball season, because a lack of teams to sign up.
