Appointments available for dental X-rays, exams

Appointments are available through March 7 for dental X-rays, exams, cleanings and sealants in Illinois Valley Community College’s dental lab, Room B-214.
The treatments are free for IVCC students, employees and their families.
Dental assisting program coordinator Pat Pearson said the clinics allow students to gain practical experience in performing the skills before their internship experiences in the second eight weeks of the semester.
The work is performed by the dental assisting students under the direct supervision of an instructor or dentists.
Cleanings, exams and sealants are available from 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays. X-rays are available from 10 a.m. to noon Monday and Wednesday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Some evening appointments also are available.
