Author makes presentation

An author, artist and activist will make a presentation at 11 a.m. Monday, March 3 in the IVCC Cultural Centre.
Daphne Scholinski, the author of the book “The Last Time I Wore a Dress,” will read from her book, show slides of her art and participate in a question and answer session.
Scholinski, who is originally from the Chicago area, is now an artist in the Washington D.C. area.
Institutionalized for Gender Identity Disorder in the 1980s in Illinois, Scholinski has gone on to appear on 20/20, Dateline and Today, and spoke at the 1995 world conference on women in Beijing China.
Her visit to IVCC is sponsored by the Diversity Team, Arts and Letters Series, , Amnesty International student group, Gay/Straight Alliance, POWER, Project Success and Student Nursing Association.
