Amnesty group plans meetings

The IVCC chapter of Amnesty International has scheduled its meetings for the remainder of the semester.
The club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9; 2:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20; 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 and 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18. All meetings are in C-321B, except for the Nov. 18 meeting, which will be in C-321A.
Founded in London in 1961, Amnesty International is a Nobel Prize-winning grassroots activitist organization with more than one million members worldwide.
The group is dedicated to gaining fair trials for political prisoners, ending torture, political killings and “disappearances,” and abolishing the death penalty throughout the world. For information, contact instructor Merri Mattison at 224-0281.
