United Center game set

    The Illinois Valley Community College men’s basketball team will make history at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 3, by playing defending national champion Southeastern Iowa Community College in the first community college game ever to be played at Chicago’s United Center. 
    The game, which is being billed as “The Juco Slam Jam,” will be followed by the Chicago Bulls vs. the Boston Celtics game at 7 p.m.
    A limited number of tickets are available at a reduced price of $25 for both games. Tickets can be reserved through IVCC’s Athletic Office, and fan buses will be available.
    The team’s first game is scheduled for Nov. 1 vs. Southeastern Iowa, the team that they will play in the United Center contest.
