Pizano’s: A meal that won’t cost you your parking spot

The newly started Pizano’s in the cafeteria section of Building C has quite a bit to offer. If you are hungry for Italian beef sandwiches to chicken salad to spaghetti, to a nice hearty portion of tiramisu, Pizano’s is right for you.
When I went at about 12:30, there was not a very long line, and I got my food right away. I ordered a turkey panini, which comes with chips and a drink. I also ordered a Tiramisu. The panini (sandwich) was piled high with turkey, lettuce, tomato, and onion, on a homemade 10-inch loaf of slightly sweet bread.
Make sure that if you order desert, you come with your appetite. The meal was the perfect size for a hungry eater. The tiramisu was a delightfully creamy and rich desert with the flavor and aroma of coffee.
One of the good things about Pizano’s besides the stylish artwork of former IVCC nursing student Julie Tranchita, the good food, and the speedy service is the fact that the area in which your food is put together is open so you can see what does and doesn’t go into your food. You can also see the fresh ingredients that are used in your food, which is another added bonus.
Overall, I would definitely recommend that you get to Pizano’s the next time you are hungry for a good hearty meal and take advantage of the selection and reasonable prices.
