Jungle school

VANNAH GOES BANANAS

As a first time student walking around IVCC, I feel anxious as well as terrified! My first impression is, “okay, didn’t think IVCC was this big.”
I try to collect some of the thoughts scattered in my brain but it seems to be impossible! One thought seems striking to me, Jungle.
As I look to my surroundings I see walls, obstacles and many paths. The people are so different. From hippies to preps, I see both guys and girls laughing and having a great time. Meanwhile, in my head I am so scatter brained; I can’t even comprehend what’s going on in front of me! I see teenagers making out, adults trying to find classes? Maybe I really am in a jungle!
Just when I thought my day was half over I find myself in the most horrible place to get lost in: the basement. It is so strange down here, no students and barely any faculty; did I end up in a restricted area? Just when I thought nothing could be more terrible, I find myself looking over my shoulder to spot floating heads. I need to get out of here!
So I am back in the main lobby, the main tree, swinging from branch to branch trying to make my way to my next calling. Being at the lobby reminds me of the hunting area in Africa, where the hyenas (teachers) smile at you figuring out if you need ‘their assistance’ and the panthers (students) stay very still yet move their head slightly to see who is crossing their territory .
    “Oh boy, what is next?”
