Where are you from originally?
I am from Morris and I still live there!
Where did you attend college and what degree do you hold?
I have an AS from Joliet Junior College, a BA in Psychology and a BSN from University of St. Francis and an MSN from Regis University in Denver CO.
What classes are you currently assigned?
I am teaching the nursing management class (two sections), a Med-Surg and OB clinical and seminar for the Holistic Nursing II class.
Are you new to teaching?
I am new to classroom teaching. I held an educator position at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago in the Pediatrics Department.
What are your impressions, not only of the students, but also the atmosphere at IVCC, and your fellow faculty and staff?
I am very impressed with both the faculty and the students at IV. The faculty and students are both respectful and polite, always going above and beyond. The students are so willing and eager to learn. It has been a wonderful experience!
So far, what is your favorite aspect of IVCC?
Again, I would have to say the warm feeling I get at IV. It seems like a tight knit group of people and everyone has been so helpful!!
What is your favorite thing about the Illinois Valley area?
I don't know the area that well yet, but I can tell you that in the summer it is beautiful so far. The hills and greenery are awesome!!
What should a student know about you?
I still work in Surgery!! I love keeping a clinical component to my own career, it keeps me on top of things!!
