By Scott Olson
IV Leader Staff, Sept. 3, 2009

Looking to be a part of something here at IVCC? Well, here you go!
This fall and winter, there will be a couple of theater productions.
The Fall show will be Ghost Story Improv and the Student Activities haunted house on Halloween weekend.
Dec. 3, 4, 5 and 6 a musical version of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens will be presented.
Auditions are planned Thursday, Sept. 3 from 4-6 p.m. in the IVCC Cultural Center.
The auditions will cover Fall and Winter performances and also the Improv Team.
Students interested in theater also may be interested in joining SPAMO. SPAMO stands for Students of Performing Arts and Music Organization.
SPAMO is a student organization that has a corporate sponsor of Illinois Valley Cellular, which works to contribute to student scholarships and educational field explorations in theater and music.
There are also workshops with professional groups such as Comedy Sports, Circa 21 Dinner Theatre, and Barn 11 Dinner Theatre.
SPAMO helps sends IVCC students to professional auditions and sponsor events like Coffee-House, Improv Team, and Student Workshop Productions.
You can find out more information about SPAMO at auditions or from David Kuester, director of the theater department.
