Career workshops offered

    Career Services announces November is Career Awareness Month. 
    To kick-off the new series of Career Development Workshops, keynote speaker Lee Ann Piano of Note Worthy Training will present career and personal development focused topics at several workshops.
    People may attend one or more workshops in the series. Those who attend three of the four Session ‘ Special Topics sessions plus one Session B Job Search Strategies session will be eligible to win a personalized, 30 minute, one-on-one, success coaching session with Piano.
    The workshops will have two parts. Session A will be 1 - 2:30 p.m. with Piano as presenter. Those attending can leave at 2 p.m. if they can only stay for an hour.
    Session B is 2:30 - 4 p.m. on Job Search Strategies, with Sharon Barthelemy, IVCC Coordinator of Career Services, presenting.
    Topics for Session A include: 

• Nov. 10, F-113 - Success in the Workplace: Learn how to enjoy the process of growing, changing, and succeeding. Learn the principles that will help you become indispensable to your organization.
• Dec. 8, C-316 - Vision Driven: People who focus, and have a clear vision of what they want, succeed! In this presentation you will discover the specific focusing strategies used by the world’s most successful men and women.
• Jan. 19, C-316 - Winning with People: Many people focus on other talents and abilities first but they forget that good relationships are the foundation for achievement. 
• Feb. 9, C-325/326 - Attitude Accelerators: Your attitude is your personal decision. It is not genetic. 

    Registration for each Career Development Keynote Series Workshop is free and required. On-line registration can be found in the Workshops and Special Events links at www.ivcc.edu/cs .
