Recruiters visit men's jamboree

    Men’s basketball has gotten underway at Illinois Valley 
Community College with the team hosting the 5th annual IVCC Juco Jamboree on 
Oct. 9th and traveling to Iowa City for the Impact Juco Jamboree on the 14th. 
IVCC hosted fifteen teams for three games apiece. 
    Athletic director Mike Riley said that approximately fifty 
four-year university athletics personnel and scouts came to the event to look at 
players for recruitment. 
    In addition, approximately ten recruiting/scouting services 
came to the games as well. Riley said that the event went “really well” with the 
Eagles showcasing their individual skills as well as playing “some good ‘D.’”
    A few scouts that Riley spoke to said that the Eagles could 
be one of the top teams in the conference. 
    The season officially starts on Nov. 4th against North Iowa 
Area Community College and the first home game will be on the 9th against South 
Suburban.
