Oct. 19th issue of the IV Leader

   Professional makeovers planned
       
Would you like help in getting a new job? Are you having trouble deciding what to wear to a job interview? Want to know what the interview will be like? Do you know how to answer those difficult questions asked on applications? Would you like help writing a resume? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, check out IVCC and SIFE’s Extreme Makeover Days 2:30-5:30 p.m. Nov. 6-9 in Room F113. The schedule is: Nov. 6, dress for success; Nov. 7, Writing for Success; Nov. 8, Dos and Don’ts of interviews; Nov. 9, Practice interviewing skills. To attend the Nov. 9 workshop, you must be registered for one of the other workshops. Refreshments will be served. Registration is required, and seating is limited. Blood drive results reported
        The blood drive results are in. Nursing instructor Pam Mammano reported 121 units of blood were collected, which is an all-time record for IVCC. There were 57 first time donors. In addition, 40 bone marrow donors were registered.

Breastfeeding room opens
        A breast feeding room has opened on campus. Students, faculty and staff can breast feed in D-234. The new room is a project sponsored by IVCC’s student nurses.

Walking path raffle under way
        Tickets remain on sale through Oct. 30 to win a prime parking spot at IVCC. The winner will park in Lot 1 during November and December. Tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six. The tickets are being sold from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. in the main lobby. The funds raised support the walking path project.

SPAMO Coffeehouse planned
        SPAMO will have a coffee house 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 in the Cultural Centre.
