Toy drive conducted

Nursing students Megan Geiger and Christine Wisneski will
manage the maintenance of a collection drop for a gently used and new toy drive
as a nursing student management project.
Drop boxes are now available through Thursday, Nov. 30 to
collect donations which will assist with special learning needs for children
helped by La Salle's Lighted Way, Inc.
Examples of items being collected for children ages 3 to 21
are games, books, educational activities, balls, outside sporting equipment,
playground equipment, stuffed animals, coloring books, crayons, markers, blocks,
videos, learning systems and electronics and any developmentally sound learning
toys.
Locations housing collection drop boxes include: La
Salle/Peru- Jewel Foods (Soup Labels and Box tops), Hy-Vee Foods and Peru Public
Library; Marseilles-Total Image Salon, Fashion Focus, From Hair and Beyond, D&S
Foods, Marseilles Public Library; Oglesby-Illinois Valley Community College;
Ottawa-Handy Foods, Kroger North, Kroger South, Two Sisters Candy & Gifts,
Scrapbook Den and Reddick Library.
Collection of Campbell’s Soup Labels and Box Tops for
Education and monetary donations will be taken to Lighted Way as well. For
