JUCO SLAM JAM III tickets are on sale

    What do the IVCC men’s basketball team and the NBA’s Chicago Bulls have in common?
    They both will play at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006.
    And you can see both teams play in person.
    The men’s team will once again participate in the JUCO SLAM JAM III at the United Center on Jan. 7. They will face off against Lincoln College at 2 p.m., while the Bulls will take over the arena at 7:30 p.m. as they host the Memphis Grizzlies.
    IVCC is selling $30 tickets for the day-long event. Included in the ticket are tickets to both games, a bus ride to and from the games as well as snacks and drinks that will be provided on the bus.
    Tickets can be purchased by contacting Cory Tomasson by either calling him at 224-0509, or by e-mailing him at Cory_Tomasson@ivcc.edu. Tickets will be available up to the day of the event, assuming tickets do not run out.
“You really can’t beat the deal that we are offering,” Tomasson says. “For $30, a person gets a $40 ticket to see the Bulls, admission to see IVCC play, a bus ride to and from the game and snacks on the bus. This would usually cost someone around $100 for all of this.”
    On Jan. 7, the bus is scheduled to start boarding at around 11 a.m. in the IVCC parking lot near the gym and will leave at 11:30 a.m. It will not wait past that time for people who are late.
    The event is sponsored by the IVCC Student Government Association.
    “Over that past two years, we have heard only positive feedback about the event,” Tomasson says. “All of the people who go seem to have a great time.”
