Flute festival scheduled for Dec. 18

A Festival of Flutes has been organized for this holiday season.
The festival will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 in the Illinois Valley Community College Cultural Center.
Admission to the flute festival will be free.

Other upcoming events also have been scheduled in the Cultural Centre, including:
— At 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 cookies and milk with Santa will be featured.
A puppet show also will be offered in conjunction with the Dec. 11 event.
— The student performing arts organization, known as SPAMO, will host a coffee house from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17 in the IVCC Cultural Centre.
Refreshments will be provided by club members.
