Auditions set for musical

Auditions for the spring musical “Once On This Island,” a romantic show with a West Indies beat, will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10 in the Cultural Centre.
Everyone in the show sings and dances, so those auditioning will start with some simple dance steps and then sing some songs from the show.
There is no need to prepare anything in advance, according to the directors. Those auditioning should wear comfortable clothes and be ready to move and sing.
There are several parts, large and small, for both men and women. Instructors Norm Engstrom and David Kuester are directing.
