IV Leader Staff, May 6, 2004
The Round Table Gaming Society held their elections meeting on April
19. The members of the club unanimously voted for Ben Logan to be the new president and Rico Crum as the new Vice-President. They also re-elected Matt Boehm as Treasurer, Ali Quigley as Secretary, and Ryan Lunger as Webmaster.
The RTGS also voted to amend a new office to their constitution. The Student Government Association Legislative Branch Representative will be the clubs representative during the meeting called by the SGA for the student organizations. The office is currently open and can be filled by any student member. If you wish to join and run for office, please e-mail the RTGS at ivccrtgs@roundtablegaming.com.
The RTGS will also send Ben Logan, President, and Matt Boehm, Treasurer, to Gencon 2004, the world largest gaming fair. This fair is held in Indianapolis,
Ind., and includes, but doesn’t limit to, games like Halo for X-Box, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and many more.
Finally the club voted on their budget for next year and membership. The club is requesting an undisclosed amount for several game systems with controllers and games and a life size chess board and/or pieces. Also new members will be levied a $5 admission fee to join the club, but they will be allowed to participate in all RTGS sponsored, non-league events for FREE. To sign up for the club, locate a officer or advisor or sign up at http://www.roundtablegaming.com.
