Rhoades scholarship created

A philosophy scholarship is being created at Illinois Valley Community College to honor the memory of longtime English and philosophy instructor C. Stephen Rhoades, who died in January.
Rhoades’ widow, N. Dana Collins of Princeton, art instructor at IVCC, is attempting to raise $5,000 to endow the scholarship; it will be awarded annually to a student studying philosophy.
Donations to the C. Stephen Rhoades Memorial Scholarships can be sent to the Illinois Valley Community College Foundation, 815 N. Orlando Smith Ave., Oglesby, IL 61348-9692.
