Open mic night set
By Stanley Schaffer
IV Leader Staff, May 6, 2004
The final SPAMO Coffeehouse and open mic night of the school year will be Saturday, May
8 between 6 and 10 p.m. on the stage in the Cultural Centre.
A small performance stage will be set up on the main stage and seating will be placed around the performing stage.
The nature of the coffeehouse is to provide an outlet for anyone in the community to share their talents to an appreciative audience. Singing, poetry, prose, dramatic reading and instrumentals are just some of the fare.
SPAMO members John Cuffe and Annie Oelschlager can be contacted for further information. Cuffe’s email is the_cuffedaddy@yahoo.com and Oelschlager’s is dashboard_glory@hotmail.com.
With the end of the term coming soon and some students leaving to pursue further interests, the Coffeehouse represents an opportunity to showcase your talent.
SPAMO members encourage everyone to come forward and take the plunge on stage or just lend encouragement to the brave that do.
This is the third Coffeehouse that SPAMO has sponsored.
