EDITORIAL: Spring break approaches
Feb. 26, 2004
If you haven’t noticed yet, we are quickly approaching the mid-term portion of this spring semester and all is good.
The weather is becoming more enjoyable and soon students everywhere will be released from their educational obligations as our weeklong mini-vacation of spring break arrives.
Students around the country will soon be boarding planes and flying off to more desirable “spring break” locations such as Panama City, Myrtle Beach, or Cancun, Mexico. There, college students will forget about their studies and enjoy some much needed R&R which usually includes socializing, clubbing, and numerous beach activities. Hopefully, this doesn’t include finding yourself on one of those “Girls Gone Wild” videos.
Other students will take advantage of this time and use it wisely. This usually means sleeping in or working on future assignments.
Whichever way you decide to spend your spring break know this: teachers are expecting their students to return refreshed and ready to resume focus on classroom activities. Remember there are still eight weeks left after break until the end of the semester so use this time to refresh, rejuvenate, rest, relax, and regroup for remainder of the semester.
So whether your plans include partying on some exquisite beach somewhere or catching up on some much needed sleep, we here at the IV Leader wish you well and hope your spring break may be enjoyable and fulfilling.
