Program on club drugs presented

"Heroin and Club Drugs: Signs and Symptoms of Abuse" was presented at noon Wednesday, Feb. 25 in the Cultural Centre at Illinois Valley Community College.
Stg. Steve Riesenberg, field supervisor for central Illinois Drug Task Force 6 from the Illinois State Police division in Bloomington
gave a presentation to IVCC students and the community on the dangers of heroin and "club drugs" like ecstasy, methamphetamines, ketamine and GHB.
The students learned the signs and symptoms of drug abuse and view drug paraphernalia.
Claudia Bachman from North Central/Behavioral Health Systems
assisted in offering resources and educating the public. Information and brochures
were available for students and the community.
The presentation was sponsored by Students in Free Enterprise, Student Government Association, the Wellness Committee and the Fitness Center.
