Two new staff hired

Two people have joined the college staff this semester.

Steve Crick is the new Director of Financial Aid and Mary Gross is the new Director of Adult Education.

Crick has an A.S. from Spoon River College and a Bachelor of Business from Western Illinois University. He has held financial aid positions at Saint Anthony’s Medical Center College of Nursing, Highland Community College, and Rockford College. He was also the Interim Dean of Admissions and a Transfer Student Coordinator at Rockford College and the Admissions Officer at Saint Anthony’s. At Lutheran High School and Christian Life High School, he taught accounting and mathematics.

He has been coaching women’s tennis and women’s basketball at IVCC.

Gross has an A.A. from IVCC and was the Interim Director of Adult Education and a Program Manager in I-READ Literacy. She earned a B.A. at WIU and a Master of Education at the U of I . She also has teaching experience in English and developmental reading.

Crick replaces Paul Crawford who left IVCC in December to take a position in the Office of Development at NIU. Gross replaces Lynn Reha who left in September to take a position with the Illinois Center for Professional Support at ISU.
