IVCC has tried an ATM machine twice, and both were removed for lack of business.
The most recent one was installed in the link at the beginning of the fall 2001 semester and provided by Welsh Systems of Peoria. On Dec. 20, 2001, it was removed.
Comptroller Cheryl Roelfsema said about 138 transactions per month were needed to cover the lease payment; an average of only 135 transactions were made per month.
Will the college try again? "Maybe in the future we will reconsider it, but it will be in a couple of years," Roelfsema said.
