The musical, “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” will be performed March 7 - 9 on campus.

The play is based on the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schultz. The book, music, and lyrics are by Clark Gesner and the director is Norm Engstrom.

“We haven’t done a musical in a while so we decided on a play with a small cast so that everybody could have an equal part,” Engstrom said

The cast includes: Doug Kotecki as Charlie Brown, Jamal Williams as Linus, Christopher Bell as Schroeder, Natalie Hrovat as Lucy, Kaaren Holt as Patty, and Katie Robinson as Snoopy.

Engstrom said that the musical was difficult to cast because more people showed up than expected and all of them were very talented.

There will be a dinner theater performance at Starved Rock Lodge in Utica on March 3 with dinner a 6 p.m. and the play at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for $24.95 by calling Starved Rock.

The performances in the Cultural Center will be on March 7, 8, and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and on March 10 at 2 p.m .Tickets for the campus performance can be purchased in the bookstore for $5.00; students with ID’s will be admitted free.
