Women's history will be celebrated in a number of activities scheduled on campus throughout March, Women's History Month.

Pat Cole, co-director of the activities, said "It's more than history, it's also current event. It is about current research. It is about literature."

Co-director Kim Radek said several of the events are scheduled as brown bag lunches to encourage people to bring a lunch and eat while listening and participating in the activities.

Cole said the activities are not intended just for women.

"It is for everybody, men and women, for all students, for all faculty and administrators," she said.

The activities are being sponsored by Amnesty International, People of the World End Racism, River Currents, the Student Nursing Association and IVCCs Diversity Committee. Most activities are being offered free of charge.
