Security guard Tom Rietgraf dies

Thomas H. Rietgraf, a member of the college security staff for ten years, died March 17 at his home following an extended illness.

He was a security guard at IVCC from 1991 to 2001.

Born April 21, 1948, in Peru to Elmer and Ada (Bradley) Rietgraf, he married Karen Fusinatto on Nov. 25, 1967.

He was a welder at Etna Welding in LaSalle from 1968 to 1988.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Peru. He had coached little league and minor league baseball in Peru for many years.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Scott Rietgraf of Peru and Jeffrey Rietgraf of LaSalle; two daughters, Julie Rietgraf of Peru and Sarah Rietgraf at home; four grandchildren; two brothers, Michael T. (Judy) Rietgraf of Elkhart, Ind. And James F. (Judy) Rietgraf of Peru; a sister, Susan J. (Wayne) Cocking of Peru.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
