IVCC is in the process of filling five teaching positions for the fall, replacing people who have resigned and retired.

Ray Garceon, health and physical education instructor, and Glenda Tannahill, computer science/networking instructor, have resigned, leaving those teaching positions open.

Other staff to be hired include a psychology instructor, replacing Gil Meyer, and an English instructor, replacing Jim Michael, both of whom are retiring. A Library Director is also to be hired.

Jerry Corcoran, director of human resources, said he hoped an English instructor would be hired at the April meeting of the Board of Trustees, and that recommendations to fill the other positions would be presented to the board in May.

"We would like to fill these positions before the faculty leave for the summer," Corcoran said.

Replacing Dr. Rose Marie Lynch, journalism and English instructor who is retiring, is Lori

Cinotte, who is currently a part-time English instructor and Media Consultant at IVCC. Cinotte was hired at the March board meeting.

Cinotte, who will also advise the student newspaper, the IV Leader, was at the NewsTribune in LaSalle for 11 years, serving as a City Editor, Regional Editor, and a reporter. She has an Associate of Arts from Lincoln Land Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Eastern Illinois University, and a Masters of Arts in Public Affairs Reporting from Sangamon StateUniversity.
